Le Méridien Hotels & ResortsLe Méridien Hotels & Resorts is expanding its presence in Asia with the signing of Le Méridien Pattaya Resort, Thailand. This brand new resort is located along Jomtien Beach in Pattaya, just one and a half hours from Bangkok, and is  expected to open in January 2009.

  1. Jomtien beach is at the southern end of Pattaya. The only way you could get there from Bangkok in one and a half hours would be by helicopter! Or possibly in a taxi whose driver is on ya ba (speed).

    If traffic conditions are favourable both for getting out of Bangkok in the first place, and subsequently getting past the entire length of Pattaya, you could drive it in about two hours.
