Singita Private Game ReserveNow in its fifth year, the Travel + Leisure 500  is the pick of the very best from around the world, as decreed by editors and reporters.   The Singita Private Game Reserve in  South Africa‘s  Kruger National Park achieved the highest tally of 97.56. The winner of the Condé Nast Traveller Gold List 2007, the Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan, is runner-up with a score of 96.11. You can see all 500 on Google Earth, by clicking here.

  1. these magazines offer great selections and tips, a very good way to dive into places that may not be known well enough sometimes. Looks like hotels in Africa are increasing their popularity, and exotic destinations are also in style.
    Hopefully, 2007 will be a good year for tourism!

I haven’t yet had chance to fully look at all the league tables from T+L and Condé Nast just yet, but I hope to go into a bit more detail in the coming weeks, focussing on the best from specific countries and/or categories. I don’t think you can take their scores as gospel but they certainly help in highlighting some of the best of the best.
