New resort at Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia

Ningaloo ReefNingaloo Reef, off Western Australia,  has its first international resort hotel. The Novotel Ningaloo Resort,  on the edge of Sunrise Beach in Exmouth Marina Village, opened  last month ahead of its February 2007 opening. It is  close to Ningaloo Reef,  the largest fringing coral reef in Australia and with over 500 fish species. The $16 million hotel resort  has 44 hotel rooms, 22 self-contained apartments, a restaurant, bar, lounge, conference facilities, resort-style swimming pool, gym, spa and direct beach access.
