Mandarin Oriental continues to expand

Mandarin Oriental has announced three new management contracts for luxury hotels – in Paris, Taipei and Guangzhou – moving the group  closer to  its goal of at least 10,000 rooms worldwide. Mandarin Oriental, Paris, will be one of the largest in the city with 150 luxurious guestrooms and suites. Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou  will feature 340 spacious guestrooms and suites, 70 serviced apartments, six dining and cocktail venues, and a spa providing a comprehensive range of wellness, beauty and massage programs, and Mandarin Oriental, Taipei  will have 300 rooms.  All three hotels are planned to open in 2010.

  1. This is certainly a great news for Taiwan. The location is good and I think it’ll be the most fashionable an chic hotel in Taipei. Actually Mandarin Oriental already set a campaign something like “the legend begins here”.(you’ll see some flags or displays around the construction.)

I’m so eager to be some advanced guest or have opportunity to cover this story before the opening. But too bad I’m only a blogger, not media. Mandarin Oriental will change Taipei’s hotel business. Let’s just wait and see!
