The Bell Inn at Skenfrith in Monmouthshire – close to the border between England and Wales – is the proud recipient of Michelin’s Top British Pub of 2007 award. It is the first pub in Wales to win the award. The Bell has a restaurant that offers a good selection of food that is sourced locally (the blackboard even lists the names of local vendors), as well as rooms for those that are not local but sensible enough not to drink and drive.
