Go Bocas!! There have been buzzings about Bocas for some time now, although I don't know that I would yet call it a luxury destination - which is a good thing. There are one or two hotels that are lovely getaways and it has been developing rapidly over the last few years, probably to the delight of Panama but to the chagrin of people like my Panamanian husband who doesn't want it to get overrun with foreign owners. To those who do visit, don't forget to spend some time in Panama City, which has some lovely (and wonderfully inexpensive) restaurants.

Granada is a really romantic place to visit, with good hotels and bars with free tapas (yes, free! when ordering a drink), and the world famous Alhambra. San Sebastian has some of the best restaurants in Spain, an expensive city but with lovely landscapes, cool hotels and pintxos!
