Los Angeles’ Renaissance Hollywood Hotel has broken ground on construction for its new Spa Luce. The world-class spa is part of the hotel’s $29 million grand renovation, which includes a chic new bar and lounge, and a complete refurbishment of all guest rooms, the outside pool, and lobby. The name Spa Luce originates from the Italian word for “light,” a guiding principle for the spa’s design. When completed, natural sunlight will stream into the spa, creating an environment where light and warmth are seen for their regenerative, healing properties. The spa will feature six distinct treatment rooms and is set to open in the winter.

I love the Renaiissance Hotel, but I’m hoping rates don’t skyrocket now that they are putting in the Spa, though it sounds fantastic. I may stop staying at the Sofitel and head back to the Renaissance!
