England goes smoke-free!

No smokingEngland goes smoke-free today, and – in my opinion  – it couldn’t come soon enough.   As of 1st July 2007, nearly all enclosed public spaces in the country will become smoke free.   This includes shops, pubs, bars, restaurants and public transport. For more information, see the Smokefree England website.

  1. same happened in Spain recently and things did not change much unfortunately. Most pubs, bars and clubs just decided to permit smoking, so they don´t lose clients. Making separate areas for non-smokers is not really working either, I just hope the UK finds the key for it.
