$60 million Dana Hotel & Spa, Chicago

The site of the former Dana Hotel in Chicago  is to  get a new, $60-million Dana Hotel & Spa, much to the ongoing  disgust of Preservation Chicago. The combined efforts of Chicago’s Neighborhood Development Corp. and Gold Coast Hotels Inc. (the same team that was behind the Hotel Indigo Chicago) should see the  26-floor, 216-room property open at State and Erie Streets next summer, with  room rates  expected to start  from $350. The new hotel will include a spa and fitness center, a rooftop lounge, a Japanese steakhouse and sake lounge, a sushi bar in the lobby, and a sidewalk cafe.
