There seems to a whole host of the big wheel/ london eye style attractions popping up throughout the globe.

They have just opened one in Melbourne called the Southern Star, it is in the docklands area which they are trying to redevelop and they ahve opened up an outdoor mall and restaurants come fast food places to add to the attraction.

Probably would recommend instead of the Southern Star if you have been on them before is to visit Eureka Tower which has great views and an attraction called the edge - a glass box that extends out of the building - great for a thrill and some fab views of melbourne!
