Business Select from Southwest

Category: Air Travel, Business Travel, Speciality Travel — Paul Johnson @ 3:04 pm

SouthwestIn a bid to get more business class passengers, Southwest Airlines has raised its last minute fares and now calls them ‘Business Select’. For an extra $10 TO $20 you’ll get Group A priority boarding, a free on-board drink and extra Rapid Rewards credits, but you’ll still be in a one-class cabin with no assigned seating. These fares are expected to account for around 10% of passengers and, amazingly, add at least $100 million to the airline’s annual revenue.

    1. amazing the amount this is supposed to add to their revenue. not sure whether it is really worth it – may if you were a frequent traveller to rack up the points but can’t see much more benefit. Have to say they are one of the best low cost carriers.
