Flying casinos from Airbus?

Category: Air Travel, Leisure Travel, Speciality Travel — Paul Johnson @ 1:43 pm

RouletteAirbus are said to be holding talks with a number of interested parties, with a view to adapting an Airbus A380 superjumbo into a flying casino. With the advantage of 50% more floor space over Boeing 747s, Airbus’ David Velupillai has said that such a casino could become a reality by 2012.

    1. The first customers for this kind of flying casino should be Chinese bilionnaires, as gambling is forbidden in Mainland China. The first motivation for this kind of very rich Chinese tourists is gambling. So, I imagine very well such a plane departing from Shanghai, flying over the Chinese sea over international waters for a few hours, and coming back to Shanghai. China Elite Focus know already several Chinese VIP’s who would definitely love this concept.

    2. I agree it might be good for the far eastern market but god forbid it becomes a reality in many flights. sometimes it is nice just to escape if only for the time of the flight!
