Whilst these hotels are great, in short - you know what you're going to get, there are a whole host of other smaller local, independent hotels and 'guest houses' available for less money and a great stay. The tourists may not stay at the guest houses, more at hostels and of course like anywhere you need to be careful where you stay!! Sometimes it is worth staying out of the usual run-of-the-mill international hotels in Buenos Aires and venture a little deeper into the capital!
