aloft comes to Texas

Texas finally has its first aloft hotel.  The Starwood lifestyle brand has opened in Las Colinas – the first of three aloft hotels planned for the state.  If you take advantage of their ‘Better Tomorrows’ rate (available until the end of March 2009), you can enjoy a second night at 50% off.

You can learn more about the brand from this video:

    1. Check out the Peninsula Island Resort. I discovered this place when looking for a place to stay during the South Padre International Music Festival. The rooms are very luxurious and have a great view.

    3. I just read the last two posts and it looks like things are happening all over Texas. Exciting news.

Most recently, the J.W. Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa opens in March of 2010 and will feature 1,002 rooms, fine dining, a great spa and fitness center, two PGA TOUR TPC golf courses designed by legendary Pete Dye and Greg Norman, a multi-million dollar water park designed by the Sea World team – this will be the largest JW Marriott Resort and a one of a kind vacation destination.

It’s located north of San Antonio (20 min. from the airport) and provides easy access to all the attractions in the Hill Country region – historic towns, musical legends, award-winning vineyards and culture from the Spanish tradition to the deep German heritage of the settlers.
