I recently had the pleasure of staying at the magnificent E&O which still remains to me not only one of the premier and most prestigious hotels in Asia but also one of the most characterful places to stay.

I didn't get the chance to meet Michael Saxon this trip, but the service as always friendly and efficient - was disappointed though that I couldn't have the 3 days as hoped at the Lone Pine due to renovations, so continued the trip on to Langkawi. Tough life out here in SE Asia!
