A waterslide with a 28-metre drop… in just 4 seconds

I’m just back from a fantastic trip to Tenerife where I have been reviewing two hotels.  Write-ups will follow shortly as will a review of Siam Park, an amazing waterpark built in 2008 which our children loved.  One of the highlights at the park is the ‘Tower of Power’.  It’s not for the little ones but I felt obliged to give it a try… afterall, it would be rude not to!  It’s not clear from the video but after plunging almost vertically for over 20 metres, the slide then travels through a shark pool (yes, with real sharks) – thankfully you’re fully encased, of course, so there’s no danger of you being ‘lunch’.
