Pennsylvania Castle offers luxury accommodation for the Olympics

Steeped in years of history and located on the UKÂ’s beautiful Jurassic coastline, Pennsylvania Castle on the Isle of Portland, near Weymouth, is a truly luxurious location for sailing fans this summer. The Penn, as it is affectionately known, is now available for private rental and provides a venue for a group of friends, families, or companies looking to entertain, during the two week Olympic period. Recently refurbished, the castle has panoramic views of the ocean and provides a relaxed and inviting environment for its guests. With nine stylish en-suite bedrooms sleeping 18 guests, a wealth of reception rooms, an indoor pool and even its own helipad for those seeking to commute quickly between Weymouth and the London Games, this historic castle wonÂ’t disappoint. The Island itself provides lots of fun attractions and activities within minutes of the Castle, and there are plenty of great restaurants and pubs close by. The beach is stoneÂ’s throw away and will keep the children entertained for hours. Travelling to The Penn is easy too. London Waterloo to Weymouth is 2 hours 45 minutes and Central London to The Penn by car will take approximately three hours. Helicopter transfer from London is around 50 minutes.
