Photograph of the week: Zion rainbow

John Ferebee had been visiting Zion National Park over Labor Day and spent the first day inside the park looking and photographing many of the popular rock formations but wanted something unique. Several miles west of the park are some very high mesas. This was taken from the top of the highest one looking back to the southeast. There were thunderstorms during the ascent that were just clearing up – as he got on top, this is what he saw.

Thank you to John Ferebee for permission to re-produce the image.
