New luxury just waiting to be discovered in Megeve

As the leaves start to fall from the trees in an abundance of autumnal colour and the alarm rings out to a darkened room (is it really morning already?) we’re starting to see the first signs of winter. It’s not all dark mornings, bare trees and chilly evenings however, with winter comes something altogether more exciting – ski season! Cue a new designer ski outfit, a new found love of the gym (as we zip into peak physical fitness to take to the slopes) and this season’s hunt for the perfect chalet.

Brand new to the luxury chalet market this year is Chalet One Oak (the name coming from the One Oak that has been used to craft this contemporary pad). One of the most appealing things about this property is the stunning panoramic views of Mont Blanc and Aravis peaks and its quiet location, nestled in the peaceful village of Combloux near Megeve. It is open plan so feels spacious and light so even if it’s filled to capacity (maximum occupancy is 12) it feels comfortably big enough.

After a hard day’s skiing escape to the hot tub to relax aching muscles whilst the in-house chef creates a delicious French Alpine dish. Whilst there don’t forget to stop in the hallway to pose for a photograph with the Harley Davidson that stands proudly on display (did we forget to mention that bit?).

Our verdict – new, fresh and you’ll almost certainly be the first one of all your friends to stay there!
