The ultimate use for those old phone boxes?

With more and more people owning mobiles over the last two decades, telephone boxes have become pretty much obsolete. Here in the UK they’ve been used for mini-libraries and even for plant exchanges. But in Japan it seems they’ve come up with something even more original – a giant goldfish aquarium. The idea comes from an artist collaborative in Osaka that goes by the name of Kingyobu and you can see more pictures, including some of the isntallation, on their Facebook page. Sushi anyone?

  1. Wow! I wish they’d done this in London with all the old telephone boxes, instead of just taking the majority of them off the street.

    So creative!
