The magical burning waterfall that is Eternal Flame Falls

I was surrpised not to have stumbled upon this one before and apologise to those readers that already know about it, but whilst recently browsing the Web I came across the magical Eternal Flame Falls.  This is a double dose of nature in all its glory… a waterfall that happens to pass over a slight natural gas opening in the shales. When the gas emerging from the rock is lit (it occasionally needs a little helping hand), it produces a flame that dances behind the cascading waterfall.

The falls are located in woodland in Chestnut Ridge Park near Buffalo, New York.
