  1. I was just in Lisbon recently. What a pity I didn’t know about this beautiful resort then. I’m sure it would appeal to fellow travellers from Australia looking for something special and unique.

  2. What a nice post on the Forte at Oitavos. Some may recall before the course was constructed that a structure stood on that very high point and served as an sheltered observatory during the world wars. It was run down and ransacked when we found it, but Miguel had tremendous vision to convert it into something very special. It is surrounded by the golf course on all sides, and the views of the Atlantic, Cabo de Roca, etc. are absolutely world class. I recall spending a lot of time up there when we were designing and building the course – because it had a commanding view and was so tranquil. BTW, the course is now up to #68 in the world!! A fantastic place!
