5 of the best luxury cocktail bars in Moscow

With a national drink like vodka, Russia is certainly well-known for its alcohol, however it is often overlooked as a chic going-out destination. Moscow has hundreds of bars throughout the city – some stylish, some not. We have put together this list to introduce you to just a handful of establishments on the luxurious end of Moscow’s nightlife.

Kalina Bar

Certainly the pick of the pile if you’re in Moscow and are willing to splash some cash. Kalina Bar is situated on the top floor of the elite 21-storey Lotte Plaza Shopping Centre. Featuring an incredible view across the rest of the city and a huge variety of quality cocktails and wines, this one is pure luxury.

O2 Lounge

Comfortably the most expensive bar on our list, the O2 Lounge is a notorious celebrity haunt with sky-high drink prices to match the view. On offer here are a selection of luxury cocktails to drink and sushi to eat. This is the one for you if you’re keen to do some celeb-spotting while you’re in the capital.

Secret Bar

This one’s for people with a more modest budget than above, but has a style and charm all of its own. Situated down a narrow alley just off one of Moscow’s busiest shopping streets, The Secret Bar gets really busy with a young, trendy Muscovite crowd and offers a huge selection of cocktails at much more modest prices.

Help Bar

The award-winning Help Bar is small but perfectly formed, and like The Secret Bar, is on the more affordable end of the spectrum. A plush interior greets revellers, where they can sit at the bar or a couple of long tables to enjoy some seriously top quality cocktails.

City Space

If you were impressed by the sound of the view at Kalina Bar, this one’s sure to please. Situated on the 34th floor, City Space has incredible panoramic windows looking down on more or less the entire rest of Moscow. Considered one of the best in the world, there are plenty of classic cocktails with a twist on the menu here.
