New York’s newest attraction: the world’s biggest Lego model

The world’s biggest Lego model has been unveiled in New YorkÂ’s Times Square. Made with more than 5 million Lego bricks (beating the previous biggest model by 2 million), the life-size replica of the LEGO® Star Wars™ X-Wing starfighter celebrates the upcoming premiere of The Yoda Chronicles on Cartoon Network. LEGO X-wing starfighter The model weighs over 20 kilos and took 32 master builders over 17,000 hours to complete before being shipped from the Czech Republic to New York in 5 separate containers. Get yourself along to Times Square if you want to see it, or head for LEGOLAND® California Resort in the Summer where it will reside for the remainder of the year.
