This adult male lion was preparing for a cat nap when a safari vehicle approached in the distance, headlights beaming. The lion was momentarily startled and the spotlight made for the perfect photographic opportunity for those of us a few feet away. The photo was taken in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, South Africa – an area bursting with wildlife and every photographers playground.
