Southern Thailand has long been a premier destination for luxury travellers with beaches, diving, tropical landscapes and sunny weather drawing people from far and wide to check into one of the many luxury resorts on offer in the area. As vegans who don’t want our love for plant based living to interfere with our love for luxury travel, we’ve always got our eyes open for places that can look after us well. Southern Thailand (even though it’s usually more well known for it’s love of seafood) is definitely one of those must visit distinctions because it turns out there are a few places that can adapt what they offer with little fuss, which certainly makes us happy. Here’s 2 luxury resorts in Southern Thailand where life is good (even for vegans) – they both welcome vegan guests, serve delicious vegan food alongside their regular menus and tick all those luxury travel boxes. Six Senses Yao Noi Take a private speedboat from the marina in Phuket and begin your journey to the beautiful Six Senses Yao Noi where youÂ’ll find nature and luxury side by side. One of the reasons that many people go vegan is because they love the natural world and Six Senses Yao Noi is definitely one of those places where it’s easy to marvel at the beauty of our planet. 1. Hi Paul,

Absolutely awesome review of 2 world class resorts.

We love Phuket and Southern Thailand in general, and being engaged to a vegetarian I’m always on the lookout for spots with vegan or veggie options.

We find more than a few spots like Buddhist vegetarian haunts run by the locals, in places like Koh Lanta and Phuket yet we also like knowing that there are other options out there.

These options are awesome. The vegan sorbet, well, I can taste it now, all the way from across the world.

As for the banana shakes they are just about our favorite thing about Thailand. We have 1 to 2 on some days ;)

The views of the Andaman are something else, right? So much beauty, so much nature, and the vibe is just something else.

Southern Thailand is probably are favorite place on earth, when you factor in the pristine nature of the beaches along with the fun, friendly people. No place like Thailand. It helps we have so many veggie spots too :)

    Beautiful resorts and awesome shots.

    Keep up the wonderful work.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Tweeting now.

  2. I’m planning to travel to south Thailand next year.‘Penang CurryÂ’ looks so yammy. I’ll definately try it.

Thank you for your nice review! Kate

  3. HI Ryan,
    Many thanks for commenting.

The local Thai Buddhist places are great, we love them too and in fact when in Trang ate in our local one most days! We were there during the annual vegetarian festival which we loved, not only the usual places selling veggie food but nearly every restaurant in town goes veggie for 10 days!

As you can see though the superb resorts above offer something above and beyond what you can normally get locally and we were very impressed!

The veg menu at Sri Panwa is extensive to say the least, so much to choose from we could have stayed for a week and eaten different food every day…

Six Senses Yao Noi was also great, no actual veg menu but great chefs with access to great produce who were more than happy to ‘veganise’ their normal offerings…

We can’t wait to get back to Southern Thailand, we are booked on an overnight train from Bangkok on the 8th of January and are counting down the days!

We’ve never been to Koh Lanta – is it worth a visit? Any recommendations for great vegan food when we’re there??

    All the best,
    Paul.

  4. Hello Kate

The curries in Thailand are both delicious and varied – no 2 places tastes the same meaning you can happily eat them every day! Well, we do anyway!

Where do you plan to visit in Southern Thailand? Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions:)

    Paul

  5. Hotels that offer good vegan food can sometimes be difficult to find, so I love coming across articles like this. Both hotels look amazing and so does the food. Thanks for the great info.
