We were so pleased to see the feature about La Villa de Mazamet. My wife and I have stayed here quite a few times now and we marvel at the comfort and service. It is a perfect piece of tranquillity in France. As we travel about the country on 2 or 3 visits each of many weeks during the year, we are able to speak with familiarity.
Comfort at the Villa is unashamedly luxurious at everyday prices. The spacious rooms are beautifully appointed. In fact, there are few, so called luxury hotels, which equal the standards set by Peter and Mark. The rooms have wonderful views. Although La Villa is within easy walking distance of the centre of Mazamet, it is peaceful.
There is no finer place for relaxation and a good book than the wall-enclosed garden. Of course, the house was built as a prestigious family home. Today, it still exudes this charm. In the hot sun, the gazebo is a wonderful retreat. Drinks by the pool, a splendid lunch platter if you need it or afternoon tea – they all encourage laziness and relaxation.
If you can stir yourself then Peter and Mark have prepared 8 superb car tours. They take you to places you would never find by yourself. They come with recommendations for coffee, lunch or afternoon teas.
Mazamet is a bustling town with many restaurants and great little coffee shops. Everything you need can be found here. Plus the benefit of the Villa card with its attractive discounts on purchases makes the town even more attractive.
My wife and I go back in a few weeks. Unfortunately, time drags when you are looking forward to living in the lap of luxury. A place everybody should visit.

Just to confirm the comments made by my husband and to add a few of my own.
From the first time we entered the Villa and received a genuine welcome we knew we had made an excellent choice for our stay, since then we have returned and our next visit is in May. Peter and Mark are perfect hosts and really do see that their guests are looked after in a most professional way with all sorts of extra cars and attention.
We have enjoyed many delicious meals created by Peter using local high quality ingredients prepared with great care. Mark is very knowlegeable about the local places to see and is always happy to suggest a route for the day.
We have described the Villa as better than perfect in the Visitors Book and it is, we are looking forward greatly to our stay in May.
