  2. This is definitely paradise, what a breath taking country,i’d love to delve into its culture, and go exploring there x

  3. I love the pictures you use. I used to live near Burma border and it’s such a friendly climate, not too hot, not too dry, just ideal to travel around in comfort. While Burma is still troubled by civil war and very poor living conditions – especially in capital city Manilla – it’s a beautiful country and worth visiting to find the hidden paradise. Thank you for highlighting this undiscovered gem!

  4. Hi Tristan,

I traveled through South-East Asia as a backpacker in 1990, but didn’t visit Burma. I guess the politics were just too disturbing at the time? I understand there is a spectacular, steam-hauled, narrow gauge railway running between Namtu and Lopah? Can you tell me if permits are required for foreign tourists to travel to this district independently?

  5. I am planning a holiday trip to Myanmar and this post helps me a lot. Before reading the post, I had a little knowledge about the top destinations of Burma. This post helps me a lot and after going through the post, I come to know how to explore this nation.
