The Mercer in New York is a great hotel set in Soho just on Prince Street. Its restaurants are well worth a trip to.
I have to agree Longitude 131 is a spectacular location for a hotel, Uluru is one of the most impressive sights I have seen and where better to have a hotel.
I see the W hotel in Sydney (now Blue) came up trumps in the best location category however i would challenge that and say the Park Hyatt in Sydney is definitely in a better location next to the Harbour Bridge and overlooking the Opera House.
