Sofitel Magic Lagoon

The Sofitel Magic Lagoon – a luxury resort on Khao Lak beach that was devastated by the destruction of the terrible tsunami just over a year ago – is to be resurrected in style and will be known more simply as Sofitel Khao Lak. Re-construction could start as early as next month and the property should re-open in the first half of 2007. It will continue to be run by Accor.
