$1000 sundae

$1000 sundaeTake  five scoops of the richest Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream infused with Madagascar vanilla, cover it in 23K edible gold leaf, and then drizzle the whole thing  with the world’s most expensive chocolate, Amedei Porcelana, before covering it with chunks of rare Chuao chocolate, and what have you got?   That’s right… the world’s most expensive dessert. And it’s all yours for $1000 from New York’s Serendipity restaurant.

  1. For a place that sells things like “The Ultimate B.L.T. on challah bread” for $9.50, it doesn’t come across as the poshest place in town although they’ve got an impressive dining list (lots of Hollywood stars).

I might go for the £80 ($150) London sandwich mentioned on here a while back, but sorry folks, can’t quite stretch to testing this one for you. Not when it’s the price of the UK -> NYC air fair!
