2006 Millionaires’ Fair in Shanghai, China

After a great deal of fanfare about its wealthy guests and extravagant exhibits, the 2006 Millionaires’ Fair took place recently  at the Shanghai Exhibition Center in China. Initial admission was by invitation only, but it was later open to the public with an admission price of 350 yuan (US $44). With the Chinese luxury market expected to grow by 20% per annum until 2008 (and by 10% pa until 2015), there will no doubt be future similar events.
