Canon EOS 400D

Canon EOS 400DThe new Canon EOS 400D – known as the Digital Rebel XTi in North America (and EOS Kiss Digital X in Japan) just to confuse us all – is a 10.1 megapixel digital SLR with a 2.5″ display and 9 point AF. As the successor to the EOS 350D, it is more than  likely to become the world’s most popular camera.   It is priced at around £650 in the UK, or just $800 in the US, for the camera body only.

  1. I’m a big fan of Canon cameras. My first was an AE1. It cost £189 at the time (it was such a major purchase I still remember the price!)and I couldn’t really afford it. But I had to have it. I bought it on tick from Dixons and paid for it over three years. I never regretted that decision and used it for more than 20 years. Later I bought another AE1 body so I had trannies in one and black and white film in the other.

Now I use a Canon EOS D60, which I still refer to as my “new” camera. LOL! I’ve had it for about six years now. If you buy a great camera in the first place I don’t think you feel the need to upgrade so often.

  2. This is my camera and it’s great, the only trouble is I don’t use it enough, I think you need to have an every day camera too for out and about when you don’t want to carry much. Having said that it’s relatively light and easy to use if you don’t know much about SLRs which I don’t. I brought this to learn more but still not really but I seem to get some good pictures anyway, one day I will learn to use it properly! I have been very pleased with my choice though.
