Luxury operators without “their” own domains

DomainsWhen blogging yesterday, I nearly fell into the trap of linking to https://www.orientexpress.com rather than https://www.orient-express.com – the former goes to a  company  with a similar name (Orient Express Racing)  selling high performance motor components rather than to the  world-renowned operator  of luxury hotels, trains and cruises.   It surprises me that  a business  of the size and weight of Orient-Express hasn’t taken whatever measures were necessary to buy the domain back.   Another example that springs to mind is https://www.silverjet.com (a holding page with very little substance) whilst the airline opts to have their site at https://www.flysilverjet.com – does it surpise you that these domains haven’t been bought, or do you suspect that the greed got the better of the current owners?
