A quick look at SQUA.RE

SQUA.REI was recently invited to a beta trial of  SQUA.RE, a collaboration between the luxury and media industries, targeting the 18-35 year olds (I hate seeing  that age bracket now that I’m no longer a part of it!!).   I didn’t have time to have an in-depth look but it does appear to show some promise.   It offers categories for ‘high living’, ‘nightlife’, ‘style’ and ‘escape’.   Naturally, I opted for ‘escape’ and immediately found myself viewing an interview with Claus Sendlinger, CEO of designhotels.   There are numerous other video clips of interest there, too.   My pet hate about it, though, would  be being asked for my date of birth on registration –  a compulsory field.   I entered something fictitious as I am uneasy with this kind of requirement; I don’t feel it  should be  necessary to give these details to participate in such a site, and yet divulging this sort of information can potentially leave you open to identity fraud.

  1. Hi Paul,

Thank you very much for your interest in SQUA.RE. We are glad you liked the Escape vertical and it is our focus to make it the best library of exclusive travel videos on the web. The interviews is also something we are aiming to continue.
Also, point well taken for the date of birth.

Have a great day and see you soon on SQUA.RE!

    Jeremy Genin
