What have you encountered on your luxury travels that you later purchased?
Have you ever stayed somewhere, experienced something (however big or small), and thought to yourself “I must have one!”? Whether it be a mattress or some bedding, a bathrobe or some soap, or something else, we want to hear your recommendations! I think, there are lots of things that you must absolutely HAVE. It every country. For example, I prefer parfumes, my parents prefer gold…smb prefer sport cars..girls ang coctails…As you can see, it is also a set of buyings!

I take some excellent mustards from Germany Switserland or Austria whenever I vistit over there.
Vinaigres from France and Savon de Marseille.
And for me it was when i bought up spices from India. They are so amazing and now I have a good collection of them in my kitchen.
We stayed at the E&O in Penang a few years back, and enjoyed the afternoon tea in their 1885 fine dining restaurant. We later visited the shop in the hotel and bought two E&O cups and saucers so we could recreate the experience at home.
The stay at the E&O was really great. But a few years later we returned to Penang and chose to try a different hotel. We did, however, go back to the E&O for afternoon tea and it was awful. What a disappointment. Their dinner buffets are still terrific, though, so all is not lost.
We’ll be going back to Penang next month so I’ll be able to give an updated report.
Staying at the W in Chicago I had run out of facial wash and as part of the toiletries they had a whole range by bliss spa, i tried them while i was staying in their dinky travel size bottles – loved them and bought the set from bliss spa – am now a convert and use religiously – thanks you w chicago!
I got hooked on Penhaligon’s lotions and soaps after staying at Windsor Garden Court Hotel in New Orleans. They had baskets of all the Penhaligon goodies all over my suite. After I left, I called Penhaligons and ordered the stuff. I just had to have it–it was too good!
