  3. This looks like a fantastic book to win, so good luck to all the competition participants.

    I’ve never been diving but have been to several places where it’s very popular – Aqaba (Jordan), Thailand, Sri Lanka, Malta, etc.

    I’m too scared to dive, I guess I’m afraid of being eaten by a shark or something. Has anyone else been diving and, if so, where?

  6. This book would be a lovely thing to own, I can just see myself exploring luxury diving sites in the winter time on my sofa by the fire place and dreaming of going somewhere hot and sunny to dive.

  10. Diving is something I would like to do but will probably never achieve, as there are only so many things you can do in a lifetime. My oldest school friend took up scuba diving a few years ago though and enjoys the sport very much.

  11. In younger years I had the blessing of travelling the world… both as tourist and meeting planner-site inspector. Now in my latter years, I may not always be able to travel to far away dream destinations, but I can close my eyes and allow myself to be carried away to those memories of distant beaches and far away lands….. or, I can open up some of those most beautiful coffee table books like this one, and picture myself there in the midst of the photo.. Now that I have relocated to the south,near to the coast, I have the blessing of being not very far from the seaside. But I still yearn to be transported to exotic destinations, beaches, and islands such as are in this book. Would love to win one!

  13. There are many diving spots in my country, the Philippines, but haven’t really tried diving because of some sinus problems although I’d love to try it out. I guess I have to be content diving through the pages of “Dive in Style”. The pictures would be the closest I can get to visiting the underwater beauty of this world, so I hope you help me win this prize. ;-)

  14. My partner is an absolute dive nut, so much so that I had to cut back on my packing so we had enough luggage allowance to cover all his dive equipment. Needless to say our holidays are only to dive destinations, so a copy of this book would be perfect for him, maybe I can even tempt him into trying somewhere new and more exotic.

  15. After getting my PADI advanced open water certification, I did a night dive at the Sail Rock reef in the Perhentian Islands in Malaysia.

    The sky was almost pitch black and we each had a flashlight to see underwater. We were told that sharks and eels hunt at night time. Wonderful. Also that in the past, a few boatmen heard voices calling out while they waited for the divers to surface. Although it’s probably made up, I couldn’t stop thinking of what may lie beneath, especially when I couldn’t even see it. Until it bit me of course. Yikes.

    I was gripped by a sudden fear because the idea of being trapped in the dark twenty feet below wasn’t too pleasing. When we decended to the ocean floor, I was afraid to be poked by the needles of the gazillion sea urchins and getting bitten by something jumping out from the shadows. But I managed to get it together which is, of course, the fundamental rule of diving. To relax and enjoy. Or at least, try to.

    We witnessed an interesting phenomenon: as we covered our torchlights and swished the water, we saw tiny, greenish lights called phosphorescence, caused by tiny plankton-type organisms giving off a bioluminescence.

    So as the Independence Day fireworks went off in the sky above us, we had our own little light show under the sea.

  16. This book is awesome!I love diving so much..even I only dove once in my lifetime but,it was great..This book will definitely help me and encourage myslef to go dive again!

  19. Chill, dive, snorkel…could there be a more tempting theme for a book? For all us who love the sea, and what’s beneath this book is chocolate cake, a delicious temptation to stir the sense, and encourage illicit daydreaming of warmth, sun, and far away places. This is book to inspire you to give up lattes and save up for an exotic holiday. Well done!

  20. i have never been diving but after 29 years of being afraid of water i am hoping on going to egypt on my honeymoon and would like to have a book that gives me the confidence to try diving!

  21. This book would come in so useful for my travel plans! I’ve mapped out the countries i’m visiting during a year of travelling but have yet to get round to which parts of each country I would be visiting. A book which tells me where in the world I could dive would seriously influence my destinations as I love both diving and snorkling!!

  30. This looks like a fabulous book that would be fab to dive into particularly in the winter weather some real escapism. hope those who won are enjoying their book.
