A new Battle at Kruger: Battle at Idube

Many of you will no doubt have seen the famous ‘Battle at Kruger’ footage on YouTube. If you haven’t, you can watch it below.

Now there’s another doing the rounds that’s been dubbed as ‘Battle at Idube’.  It’s a similarly chaotic scene, shot from near the Marube Dam at the Idube Private Game Reserve (a luxury reserve that’s also in the Kruger National Park). A pride of lions attacks a buffalo calf, the buffalo herd returns to try to rescue the youngster, but the lions don’t give up. The footage isn’t for the squeamish – and arguably isn’t quite as dramatic a series of events as the ‘Battle at Kruger’ video – but can be viewed below if you are interested in seeing nature at its most brutal.
