New luxury in Provence

2012 saw the arrival of a new incoming travel agency in Provence, Kairos Travel with its luxury portal Unique Provence. Drawing on 25 years of experience in the world of travel in France, founder and CEO, Englishman Philip Haslett wanted to get behind the scenes and create travel experiences for a clientèle that he understood. A lot of time is spent searching for the rarities that make for unique travelling. These include accessing scent gardens and perfume manufacturers in Grasse unavailable to the general public, truffle hunting (and eating) in Haute Provence, distilling alcohol with the “old boys” of Forcalquier (a morning activity with a typical brunch), breakfast at 3000ft in your private hot air balloon, a day cruise in an early 1900 classic yacht, a buffet lunch just about anywhere (olive grove, dry stone shepherds hut, under a wild almond tree in a lavender field etc.) and many more. Kairos Travel has also been chosen by international cosmetic company L’Occitane en Provence as it’s official travel agency, and has created two unique tours for them, with more coming soon.
