Autumn in the Shenandoah Valley: a University of Virginia football game from a luxury suite

Should serendipity bless you with a visit to Charlottesville, Virginia, during the outrageously colorful Autumn season, consider attending a Virginia Cavaliers‘ home football game from the comfort of one of 56 luxury boxes in Scott Stadium. Availability is limited due to long-term leases held on the majority of the suites by diehard orange-clad University of Virginia college football fans; however, single suites are available on a game-by-game and first-come, first-serve basis. The cost of a single game luxury suite rental depends upon the Cavaliers’ scheduled opponents and whether or not the game is considered an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) competition. A range of costs For the 2012 year, costs range from $8,000 to $11,000 per game with an additional refundable $500 security deposit. Luxury boxes are generally reserved to entertain friends and family, company employees or clients. A portion of the rental costs for your luxury suite may be considered tax deductible; you’re advised to consult with your tax adviser regarding this. Luxury box amenities Luxury suite rental amenities include 16 or 20 ticketed seats (depending upon the specific suite, 550 to 750 square feet) and eight standing-room-only (SRO) tickets. Four parking spaces in the South Garage adjacent to the stadium are included with the luxury box rental and allow you and your guests an easy walk convenient to your accommodations. Access to your luxury suite is available two hours before the game’s kick-off and continues throughout the game’s entirety until an hour after the game’s end. Architectural conveniences The architectural amenities of the luxury boxes are designed to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of everyone in your party. A private restroom, kitchen area and two lock boxes are part of every suite. Moveable glass partitions help maintain whatever degree of warmth or air-conditioning in the luxury suite that you desire. Fans in your party who seek the authentic college football experience can watch the game from covered air-seats that extend beyond the clear moveable partitions. Those who prefer the comfort of a temperature-controlled environment and a leather sofa can watch the game from the clear partitions of the 21 foot by 28 foot “‘Hoo Vision'” stadium video screen or on one of two television monitors: one inside the suite and another located in the outdoor seating area. Catering and other services Couture designs are available from Ken Ward, the authorized game Day florist. Catering is provided by UVA Suite Catering, provided the menus are arranged online at least three business days before the scheduled event. A catering attendant will stop by your luxury box intermittently to ensure all services provided are to your satisfaction. If you wish, a full-time catering attendant, a bartender or both can be arranged to remain with your luxury box party for the duration of the event.
