Photograph of the week: the world’s first underwater nightclub

This week’s picture is hot off the press and is of Subsix – the world’s first underwater music club. Its opening marks the completion of all guest facilities at the NIYAMA by Per AQUUM resort in the Maldives. Located 500 metres out to sea, access to the club is via a staircase from the resort’s overwater restaurant, Edge, and takes guests 6 metres below the surface of the Indian Ocean. There revellers will enjoy not only a lively music scene but also uninterrupted views of clown fish, mantra rays, parrot fish and other exotic marine life. Thank you to Destinology for sending in the picture and to NIYAMA by Per AQUUM for permission to re-produce the image. If you have a really special photograph you would like to share with  A Luxury Travel Blog‘s readers, please contact us.
