A luxury Thailand wedding

Whether itÂ’s the glowing beauty of the bride, the grace of the first dance or the venue itself, aesthetics matter when it comes to your wedding day. This explains why foreign locations are becoming increasingly desirable by those approaching their big day. Thailand is currently a very popular location, offering landscapes of genuine beauty that few European countries can match. There are many luxury wedding venues available in Thailand, all of which will make your day that little bit more special.

For sheer luxury… The Chedi Chiang Mai

As part of the renowned GHM Hotel chain, The Chedi is one of the most stunning pieces of architecture in Asia, offering an aesthetic that is truly palatial. It seamlessly blends colonial heritage (in the form of the 90-year old British colonial building that houses the main restaurant) with stunning modern architecture. As the only five-star hotel along the beautiful Mae Ping, the backdrop accompanying any ceremony will make for a truly unique experience. Being a venue of superior class, wedding services are customised entirely to the wishes of the bride and groom.

Your wedding dishes can be created in tandem with you from their selection of global cuisine that includes Western, Thai, Korean and India. All of which can be enjoyed in the unique setting of a former British consulate. High-class musicians (both modern and traditional are available) are in residence to help lend the ceremony the atmosphere it deserves, the notes drifting across the rose petal-scattered floor; a suitable visual for a venue known amongst the locals as ‘The Rose of the North’. The GHM staff will offer years of wedding planning experience, to ensure The Chedi hosts a truly once-in-a-lifetime occasion.

If exclusivity is key… RockyÂ’s Boutique Resort

If you’re seeking the highest levels of exclusivity, then this delightful family-owned resort could be the ideal choice. Set on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, Rocky’s is renowned throughout Thailand for its warm and friendly customer service, not to mention the stunning cuisine. As well as being an incredibly popular honeymoon destination, it offers two different wedding packages; the Thai and the Western. Both offer decent value for money. The Western Package includes including the beachfront venue, flower girls, traditional Thai music and drum procession, the wedding cake, sparkling wine and canapés. In addition to all of this, the Thai package includes temple offerings and even participating monks as part of the deal. When booked through the Kuoni agency, you can also receive a romantic dinner for two as a bonus.

The Sarojin: For natural beauty

The Sarojin is certainly a venue that anyone seeking natural beauty should consider. Bordering five national parks and a stunning secluded beach available for use, it is a location perfect for a celebration of love. The venueÂ’s wedding packages offer almost everything youÂ’re likely to need. Decorations, wedding planner services, bouquet and corsage, a bottle of champagne, the wedding cake and the Church Secular/Thai Ceremony options are all available. There are also two award winning restaurants within easy reach should you wish to have your reception nearby.

If style is key… Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan

If you’re one of those people who adores a sense of style, then the Anantara is well worth your consideration. Offering as it does a wedding venue that is both relaxed and still trendy amongst those in the know, set on the beautiful shores of the Thong Nai Pan Noi beach, it is the height of chic. The Western Wedding Package that they offer is at a slightly higher price than the two venues above, but there are various different ‘luxuries’ that come part of the deal. These include: a stringed instrument musician for the ceremony, pre-dinner champagne, a romantic ‘Dining by Design’ journey for two by the beach, a special aromatherapy spa treatment for two, a honeymoon set-up in the couple’s room and a specially created three-tier wedding cake. With the Villa’s main options including private pools, flat screen televisions and private terraces, there are few venues that offer the same all-inclusive sense of luxury.

  1. Very helpful and informative article. Thailand is just great for a wedding. As your article suggested, there’s plenty of places for people looking for luxury, nature, or a bit of both. Personally, I just love the idea of a wedding on a tropical beach!
