The world’s largest panoramic photograph

The world’s largest panorama used to be a fantastic 114-gigapixel image of Shanghai, but now that’s been superceded by an incredible image four times its size. Four months were spent stitching together 48,000 images of London, allowing you to see up to a staggering 15 miles away. The pictures were taken from the top of the capital’s BT Tower using 4 cameras and photographic equipment worth an estimated £70,000. The level of detail is quite amazing, allowing you to see quite a lot of detail even at street level. To see the full image for yourself, go to btlondon2012.co.uk

  1. Fantastic picture. Would love to be able to take my own Pano from up there as I would imagine several other photographers would.
Still it is good that we get to see the images and tehy are not locked away in some vault somewhere.
