3 of the best luxury hotels in Rome

We wanted to find 3 top luxury hotels for our fellow luxury travellers to enjoy in Rome and here is the shortlist. This beautiful city has a lot of choice to offer tourists but we picked la crème de la crème for you. The most central location for luxury is Spanish Steps (Piazza de Spagna) and two of the hotels we chose are based within 5-10 minutes walk from there. It is a heart of modern Rome, a place where most tourists come for an afternoon stroll, to be and be seen and of course to shop. Around Piazza de Spagna you’ll find every designer shop imaginable, from Chanel and Louis Vuitton to Italian flagship stores of Blumarine, Sergio Rossi and many others. We have judged the hotels by location, service and quality of rooms and facilities. There are so many options to choose from but if you are like us where nothing but the best would do, don’t look any further that the three hotels below. Hotel de Russie and Hotel Eden are very central, while Hotel Cavalieri offers the best Summer facilities. Whichever option you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Hotel de Russie – the most glamorous hotel in Rome Hotel de Russie is located in fashionable via Babuino, very close to the Spanish Steps, right in the middle of the most fashionable area in Rome. As soon as you enter the hotel you can feel the aura of luxury and elegance. The hotel is the most expensive one in Rome but you do feel very special and privileged staying here. Hotel de Russie Must dos: Stay in a room with  a garden view. Have brunch on Saturday or Sunday in the famous De Russie restaurant in the hotelÂ’s gardens. Have a pre dinner drink in the Stravinski Bar (a place to see and be seen in Rome). Rates at Hotel de Russie start from 600 euros. Hotel Cavalieri – hotel with the best facilities for a Summer stay This beautiful hotel is part of the Waldorf Astoria Collection. It is perched on a hill about 15 minutes away from the centre of Rome but it has the most breathtaking views of the city and a huge territory with excellent facilities for a Summer stay. The hotel features 3 pools, RomeÂ’s largest 5 star spa, gardens and very importantly, RomeÂ’s only 3 Michelin star restaurant – La Pergola. Hotel Cavalieri Rome Must dos: Book a room with the view of Rome. Rooms are the most spacious in Rome and are very well designed. Each room has a separate living area and a large bathroom – a rarity in Rome. Must try – a dinner in La Pergola, the most romantic restaurant in the world. Enjoy hot summer days by the pool with a cold drink in hand. Try one of the signature treatments in the spa – they are excellent! Rates at Hotel Cavalieri during warmer months start from 400 euros. Hotel Eden This hotel doesnÂ’t quite have the glamour of Hotel de Russie or the facilities of Hotel Cavalieri but it still comes as a close third best hotel in Rome. Firstly due to its location, 7-8 minutes walk from the Spanish Steps, but also because of its one bedroom suites with views over Villa Borgese park and a roof top terrace that features one Michelin star restaurant, Le Terrazza. Hotel Eden Must dos: Stay in a gorgeous one bedroom suite with views over the park (standard rooms are quite small for our liking). Go for a morning run in nearby Villa Borgese. Take in the views from La Terrazza while enjoying a Michelin starred meal prepared for you by Executive Chef Fabio Ciervo. Rates at Hotel Eden start from 300 euros.
