Singapore’s newest attraction

Singapore has welcomed its newest attraction – Asia’s first and only river-themed wildlife park – offering a whole new wildlife adventure with over 5,000 aquatic and land animals representing 300 species. The 12 hectare River Safari is the newest addition to Wildlife Reserves Singapore’s portfolio of award-winning parks and will showcase animals from freshwater habitats inspired by eight of the world’s iconic rivers including the Mississippi, Nile, Mekong, Yangtze and Amazon rivers. River Safari Among the unique aquatic and terrestrial animals in the park are endangered river giants such as the Giant Salamander, Giant Freshwater Stingray and Mekong Giant Catfish. River Safari is also the only park in Asia to feature the Giant River Otter, the worldÂ’s largest otter that can grow up to 1.8 metres. Be sure not to miss SingaporeÂ’s two gorgeous Giant Pandas, Kai Kai and Jia Jia in their new home too. The 1,500 sq m Giant Panda Forest is situated in the Yangtze River exhibition and is the largest panda exhibit in Southeast Asia. Wander along the elevated boardwalk in the lush biodome that simulates Kai Kai and Jia JiaÂ’s natural habitat. River Safari is open daily from 9am to 6pm, and tickets are available at both the Singapore Zoo and River Safari ticket booths.
