Enjoy a taste of Brazil at home this summer!

When you think of Brazilian drinks, one in particular will always spring to mind – the famous and much loved caipirinha! But believe it or not, there is a limit of how many you can drink in a summer before you start craving something sweeter and softer! Here in Brazil, fresh lemonade is a sure fire hit with children and grown ups all over the country, and its made with alot of the same ingredients as our beloved cocktail! But here’s a sneaky twist that’ll catch you out as much as your 5th caipirinha down by the beach – our lemonade is actually made with limes! Caipirinhar Follow this quick and easy recipe and enjoy our favourite Brazilian Summer cooler at home: Cut two limes into wedges – about eight per fruit if they’re big enough – and get rid of any leftover bits of stalk or hard, weather beaten rind. Drop your lime wedges into a blender, adding in about half a cup (100 grams) of sugar and 3 cups (roughly 700-720 ml depending on the size of your limes) of water. After a few seconds of blending, pour in 3 tbsp of condensed milk and a throw in a handful of ice to chill it to perfection. To serve, fill a tumbler with fresh ice and pour your lemonade through a sieve to get rid of chunks of rind. Grab a couple of friends and make a toast to the sunshine!
