Specifically arranging a weekend around a World Cup event can be a risky strategy, as they are, of course, subject to cancellation due to weather conditions, but if you just happen to find yourself in resort at the same time, then you have nothing to lose.
There is always a great vibe in a resort when the world cup arrives, and the sometimes slightly over exuberant cowbell ringing revellers create a loud and lively party atmosphere. Spectators from all over the world come to watch some of the finest athletes from all over the world, compete in one of the most exciting spectator sports known to man. Watching a downhill can be almost as exhilarating as taking part. Even if you don’t normally follow the sport, you will soon be absorbed by the cheers and excitement.
