Photograph of the week: The view from Emeril’s Restaurant, Universal CityWalk Orlando

Theme parks are rarely celebrated for their fine dining but as the world’s number one travel destination, Orlando, at times may surprise even the most cynical of travellers. Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse placed his faith in Universal and chose this stunning spot to present his signature cuisine to the world. The celebrated TV Chef, owner of 13 upscale restaurants, has an undoubted talent talent in the kitchen, shared personally with his restaurant staff. Emeril can also be credited for choosing one of the most upbeat restaurant locations in Florida, at the junction of the walkways between the Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. As the hot and tired theme park guests ‘silently’ drift past the huge restaurant windows each evening, Emeril’s diners can enjoy their ‘New New Orleans’ cuisine from the cool calm serenity of their candlelit tables. Emeril's view Thank you to Kevin Maw of Total Orlando for permission to re-produce the image. 1. Love Emeril’s Orlando. Staff is as great as food and Emeril’s harpy hour is great place to unwind as you leave the parks or ending a day at work or to start the weekend

  2. Emeril’s has a lovely feel good factor to it John.
The view is great but that food is so beautifully prepared.
There’s nowhere in CityWalk as good.
