Sennheiser PXC550 wireless headphones from Dixons Travel
Comfortable to wear and sounding every bit as stylish as they look, these Sennheiser headphones from Dixons Travel offer superior sound and quality. For me, wireless makes such a difference, allowing me to put my phone wherever I choose, be it in a pocket, a bag or whatever, without getting any worry of getting tangled up. When the headphones really came into their own, though, was on the flight home when I could fully appreciate their noise-cancelling capabilities. Battery performance also seems very good – Sennheiser claim you can get 30 hours of battery life from a single charge which would cover you for even the longest of long-haul flights.
Travel blazer from Bluffworks
I’ve had trousers (pants, if you’re from the US) from Bluffworks before and they’ve been great. But their new range of blazers are even better! Travelling with a jacket is never ideal – it invariably gets creased and then just doesn’t look the same. With the Bluffworks jacket, you don’t need to worry. You can bundle it into your bag without a care in the world and somehow any creases just seem to fall out of it with ease. The blazer has undergone three years of development with travel specifically in mind, and is made from a cool, breathable fabric that is machine-washable and wrinkle-free. I’m really impressed and can see I’m going to get a lot of wear from it.
Memory cable from MEEM
Having the luxury of being able to back up your phone whenever you charge it – without the need for a laptop or similar device – is something that had never occurred to me. But once I discovered there was a product that did just that, I thought “why didn’t I think of that?!”. The MEEM memory cable is much like any other charging wire you might use for your phone, only it has the key difference of having a backup device built in. Excellent items I think are outlined here. I have a phone charger that runs independent of any laptops etc but never heard of one that backs up your data at the same time. Ingenious!

I’d never heard of a memory cable either. What a great idea
I lost my phone last week, only for an hour, but it was one of the most anxious moments of my life. I realised how much essential data I had on my phone that wasn’t backed up. Now I’m thinking that the MEEM memory capable is a must have.
Paper just doesn’t exist in my life and at the moment I haven’t got a lap-top or desktop so my phone is everything! I must invest in back-up.
After returning to Tesco and my mother’s I found it standing neatly on end by the passenger seat, and I had been driving. Mysterious.
I think for many people, losing a phone (or indeed a camera), it isn’t so much about the loss of the item and the value that it has, but rather it’s the loss of the data more than anything else.
Although I’m not of the “headphone generation” even I am on the point of making a serious investment in good headphones. My son lent me his “old” noise-cancelling headphones for a flight and they helped me get more sleep than I usually get when I’m flying. It was good to listen to some music without hearing the clatter of the trolleys.
Yes, until you try a good quality pair of noise-cancelling headphones, I think you are oblivious to the difference that they make. They really can make the world of difference on a flight!
I largely work from home and so have a lot of Skype calls. Last year all the external noise was becoming embarrassing and intrusive whilst talking to clients. So I invested in a set of Sennheiser wireless headphones. No more delivery vans chugging down the road, no more dogs barking at each other, no more kids shouting at each other on the way home from school and no more deafening pneumatic drilling as Virgin dig up the pavement outside.
At last I can concentrate on my work.
