Best brunch spots in Barcelona

Barcelona’s brunch scene is growing more and more each day, and you can find places that serve the much loved breakfast and lunch combination all over the city, meaning it can sometimes get difficult to choose where to eat. These are just a few of our favourite brunch spots in Barcelona! Can Dendê Named after an adorable Jack Russell from the Poblenou neighbourhood (Dendê), this cool Brazilian brunch restaurant is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat. With brunch classics like eggs benedict, quirkier dishes such as the bacon bagel with egg, spinach, onion and ruffle potatoes and, of course, sweet treats like dulce de leche pancakes with berries, Can Dendê truly has something for everyone! The interior is industrial-style yet also classic, with metal and wooden furniture, chalkboard menus and plenty of greenery. Be sure to get there early, as there is often a queue (it’s just that good!), especially on a Sunday. However, as you wait to be seated, the staff will go the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable, offering to take your drinks order and providing menus so that you can decide what you want as you wait. What’s more, this brunch hotspot is also pet friendly, so you can bring man’s best friend along with you as you indulge in Can Dendê’s delightful dishes – we’re sold! Can Dende Carrer de la Ciutat de Granada 44, 08005 Barcelona Milk Bar & Bistro Situated amongst the Gothic Quarter’s winding streets, Milk is a cosy brunch spot that should definitely be on your list when in Barcelona! With its plush handmade sofas, antique chandeliers and stylish wallpaper by 50s designer Florence Broadhurst, this cute establishment is perfect for when you fancy some top notch food and friendly service in a laid-back environment. The menu offers a variety of different brunch dishes varying from stacks of American pancakes, bagels topped with your favourite ingredients and eggs – cooked in every way possible. Additionally, they use fresh, local produce purchased daily from the famous Boquería market, to ensure their dishes are bursting with flavour and freshness. Alternatively, if you prefer al fresco dining, be sure to check out Firebug, Milk’s sister brand. Situated in Eixample, the menu here is almost identical and the restaurant makes for a great spot to grab a bite during the summer! Marmalade, located in the Raval neighbourhood, is yet another of Milk’s sister restaurants which also offers brunch, however they only serve it on the weekend, as they put more focus into their evening meal menu – which is also to die for!
